Ghazal 55خَمِ زلفِ تو دامِ کفر و دین استز کارستانِ او یک شمه این است
جمالت مُعجِزِ حُسن است لیکنحدیثِ غمزهات سحرِ مبین است
ز چشمِ شوخِ تو جان کی توان برد؟که دایم با کمان اندر کمین است
Interpretation
Someone’s charm and spell have taken your heart and your faith. Be careful: not everything beautiful is without danger, and you must stay alert. If someone speaks ill of you behind your back, don’t worry; they will answer to God. Love is a wondrous science in which ordinary logic doesn’t help; go forward with your heart, but with open eyes.
