از من جدا مشو که توام نور دیده‌ایآرام جان و مونس قلب رمیده‌ای
از دامن تو دست ندارند عاشقانپیراهن صبوری ایشان دریده‌ای
از چشم بخت خویش، مبادت گزند از آنکدر دلبری، به غایتِ خوبی رسیده‌ای
منعم مکن ز عشق وی ای مفتی زمانمعذور دارمت که تو او را ندیده‌ای
آن سرزنش که کرد تو را دوست حافظابیش از گلیم خویش مگر پا کشیده‌ای
Interpretation
You ask your beloved not to part from you, for they are the light of your eyes and the peace of your soul. Those who love don’t let go of them. Pray that they are protected from the evil eye. Tell those who would stop you that they have never seen them. If you have heard reproach, perhaps you overreached; stay humble.
