Santur سنتور
The santur is a trapezoid hammered dulcimer with 72 strings tuned in groups of four. It is played with two very light wooden mallets (mezrab), often tipped with felt. It sounds sparkling and resonant, almost like a glockenspiel; great masters included Faramarz Payvar and Parviz Meshkatian.
