This started when the NY-based Asian American Film Lab had the 72 Hour Shootout, a film contest where we make a movie over a weekend. I co-wrote and acted in it with a group of friends in San Francisco, and our team was called the “Sake Bombers”! Here was the theme we were given on Friday night:

* Elizabeth Ong is missing
* Elizabeth Ong’s absence is essential to your story
* Elizabeth Ong does not visually appear in your film
* Elizabeth Ong has a connection with characters in your film

It’s very different from Kiwi, but I hope you like it. It’s also my acting debut! Other than that, I’ve just been busy with work.

Thanks for watching!

Bobo

Something I made while goofing off on XSI one night. There really was no point or meaning to this at all. Music by the Animal Collective.

Rooftop Animation

Stop motion photography on my rooftop in NYC. Music by Eisley.

Floursack X

One of my first animations, starring kung fu floursacks. And yes, good ears people! I know all the sound is way hacked, that’s what you get for trying to do the music the day before its due.

And I am not splitting hairs over weather this is ninja of kung fu! This is a result of me playing too many video games from Japan and watching too many Kung Fu movies from Hong Kong! So really its an ignorant Westerners interpretation of Eastern entertainment………with Halo music in the beginning.

Pony

An older animation I did during my undergrad at Bowling Green State University in Ohio.

Kiwi!

My Master’s Thesis Animation, which I completed while I was at The School of Visual Arts, MFA Computer Art, in New York City. Created using Maya, After Effects, and rigged using The Setup Machine by Anzovin studios. If you would like to download there is a small version at my website: www.donysanimation.com

The music is orginal and is by Tim Cassell, someone I went to highschool with. The music is available here:
